Lonely Days

It was my birthday yesterday and even though I was sheltered in place or whatever the term is for Washington State, I had a wonderful birthday.  I didn’t realize I had so many friends.  It’s like they came out of the woodwork all over social media.  I have gotten to know so many wonderful people on Instagram and Facebook through my artwork.  It’s amazing.

The above painting is one that I did when we first had to stay at home called Lonely Days.  It is done in Corel Painter.  I used some amazing brushes by Skip Allen called Skip’s Tibor brushes.  They give a great texture and are so fun to work with.  Skip has tons of brushes you can download for Painter at his website here.

These particular brushes are not available there.  If you are interested in them, I could ask him if I can pass them along.  Now people are using the thick paint brushes for texture.  I don’t like them as much because they are on a special layer that does not do what I need it to do.  Perhaps Corel will change that.
