I’m Giving Up

Out In A Flash

Out In A Flash

I have faithfully posted every painting I have done since I started my blog.  Then my husband retired.  I always did anything blog related during lunch.  Well, now I eat lunch with my husband.  I can’t fit blogging into my life.  But I loved to blog.  I loved the few blog buddies I made.  They were great friends.  I had some loyal followers.  I chatted back and forth with a few people.

I miss blogging,

But I just can’t fit it in like I used to.  I don’t want to take my site down, but I probably should.  I put up a post and get three likes at the most.

I keep hoping it will work out somehow.

Blogging saved me,  I was stuck in bed for over 18 years with Lyme disease.  I’ve finally gotten better.  That’s also probably why I can’t fit in blogging.  I actually have a life now.  Not a real big one, but it keeps getting bigger.

Anyway, I’m going to start by not posting every painting I paint.  First, some aren’t that good.  Second, I just can’t keep up.  Third, I’m posting them all over at Instagram,  if anyone has s burning urge to see all my art, go there.  Then you can also see my photography.

Yes, I’m doing photography now.  I even have a macro lens for my iPhone.  I bought an Olloclip macro,  it is totally awesome.

The painting is called Out In A Flash.  I painted it with some awesome brushes made by Skip Allen.  You can check out his super blog at http://skipallenpaints.com.

I’ve been on and off with blogging for a while, Kerry, but love seeing your brilliant, vibrant art. Don’t disappear, I’d miss your art so much. I’ve suddenly found that my forte is working with elemental spirits, much to my surprise as I’m a very logical person. But it really lights my life, as you do with your gorgeous art. Just enjoy life and post when you feel like it. Dances, my friend, dances with life!

Hi Mo. You’re right. I discovered this morning that it was having to post every painting that was the problem. Not doing that has freed me. I feel like a new woman. I love your art, Mo. Thanks for your comment. I’m dancing!

    Hey Kerry,

I know life gets in the way of having fun…it does for me, too. So, I struggle to work around Life. 🙂 You can find another time to blog. I promise you can. Gosh, I don’t post daily either…or every painting that I do. But, I do try to post one or two things a month…as long as Life is behaving and not getting in the way. I enjoy your blog and hope to see many more posts.

Thanks, Skip. I guess I just have to modify my blog. I just sent you an email. I remembered what the fix is for the green.

Kerry – please don’t leave us dry – I have so enjoyed every one of your creations – sometimes after you post one though I walk around in circles on my way to the kitchen (ha ha) – the Lyme is beyond description to those of us who don’t know it – mine returned with a Venice this summer but after another dose of those damn pills it has received for a while – keep painting and be loved always – nick

Oh no Nick. Your Lyme returned?!?!? Is it better now? Did it get back under control? I’m not going to quit. But I’m not going to post every painting on my blog. But if you want to see every painting go over to my Instagram account. You can access it on the sidebar of my blog.

Don’t give up, come see the blogging world when you do have the time – it will still here. So happy to hear that you are healing from that awful disease, and having a life and husband home too – couldn’t be better. My husband retired last year and it’s getting more and more difficult to blog – I do understand. Take care and all the best.

Hi Mary. Thanks for what you said. You’ve been such an important person for me. You are such a good artist and so nice. You’re one reason I don’t want to quit blogging. 💘

Thank you so much Kerry for such kind words. What I love about this past couple of years is that you were able to find your art despite the illness and power on to create some incredible designs – colorful, fluid and with a vibrant energy. Perhaps that is a reason also for your progress health-wise. I wish you all the best and hope you come back every now and then to show us your art and let us know how you are doing.

Definitely, I’ll try to be back, Mary. And yes, I think being able to paint again helped me. Now, I’ve also started photography again. I’ve got that up at Instagram. You can access it on a side bar on my blog. I’ve met a fabulous painter/photographer from Maine on Instagram. Tom Stewart. Any chance you’ve heard of him?

I loved and admired meeting another digital artist that consistently uses exuberant colors, imagery and new tools to create a style of her own! I am so happy that you are better now and that you can enjoy lunch with your husband and continue to try new things. Best Wishes Always, Kimberley

    Hi Kerry,
I am so happy to know that you now have a “bigger life.”
Please don’t worry too much about posting less paintings. But please don’t give up! Your paintings are original and very beautiful! We need to see them!
Take care and keep enjoying life! All the best to you and your husband. Take care! Hugs, Fabio 🙂

Hi Fabio! Thank you so much! I probably won’t give up my blog. It’s really fun to have one. I’m just not going to post every painting. Not all of them are that good anyway. 💘😊💘

You are very humble, Kerry! And I am feeling much better knowing that you are not closing the store. Thanks so much! Please keep up the excellent paintings and, most of all, keep enjoying this beautiful light. All the best! 🙂 Fabio
