I am donating two pieces of art to an on-line auction to raise funds for a group in Kenya. You can see these pieces here.
I did this once before, donated art to an on-line auction. See my post here.
Jessica Sporn is organizing this again. Check out her blog. She is an incredibly talented artist, and a very giving, caring person.
This time we are donating the proceeds to an organization called Pastoralist Child Foundation. It is in Kenya. I have a special place in my heart for Kenya. I’ve never been there. I just know that it is one of the most beautiful places on earth to look at. The trees, especially sing to my soul.
This group helps young girls in many ways. They are dedicated to eliminating Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). It is so incredible to me that this goes on, but it does, and it’s ugly.
How do you take part?
On December 8, 2014, the on-line auction opens. Go here, open an account and bid. Bidding will stay open until December 12.
There is further information and links at Facebook, here.
The last experience we had was so much fun. It raised money, we helped. We didn’t change the world, but we changed some thinking, raised awareness and helped a good cause.
I know this auction will be as much fun as the last.
Wow! Good for you for doing this.
