I’m One

Abstract-09c

Abstract-09c

Wow, I just got a notification from Word Press that I’ve been blogging one year.  My memory is that it has been a much shorter time.

I want to thank everyone who has followed me during this exploration.

I thought my blog would be about living with Lyme disease and fibromyalgia.  But now, my blog seems to be about art.

I think my art is my life.

When I was unable to do much of anything in art, I felt as if there was a hole in my soul.  Since starting to paint on Painter in September of 2012, a large part of who I am has been returned to me.

Last night, my brother-in-law, complimented me on my paintings.  This blew me away, because I didn’t think he was at all interested.

Again, a big thank you to all who are reading this and following me.

I wonder where I’ll be a year from now?

The art for this post is a crop of another painting.

I love that your life is art! You are moving so quickly in trying new things, that I am looking forward to seeing where you next year brings you. I like this one as well. I’ve liked everything you’ve painted with some favorites. Good work, Kerry!

Thanks for your comment. Feel free to print this out and hang it on your wall. It’s a crop of another painting, so the size is kind of an odd size. You may have to print it on a larger piece of paper and cut it out. Just make sure to remember it’s copyrighted by me.

I’ve been posting this quote so much in recent days, from Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet, on a card a friend gave me when I broke my leg and ankle and was immobilised for 6 weeks: “Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.” So glad the doors opened for your art to flow.

Congratulations! Yes, it’s hard to believe a year has already passed. I am glad you are feeling better now and can focus on your art. Art heals and your colorful paintings are so joy filled.I am sure you will continue to do well with them.
